Over the past few months 3DR motorsport has undergone many changes and enjoyed various successes across the team. Former Team Manager Tom Smith has left his post allowing Danny Russell to take control alongside Team Owner, Don Russell.
The team has completed the Super One Championship in the seeded position 14 with senior driver and now Team Manager, Danny Russell. Danny is pleased with this result considering a few unlucky incidences earlier on in the series, and is confident for an improvement next year. The ‘0’ Plate and Shennington was a strong indication into Danny’s intent finishing a respectable 3rd. Meanwhile junior drivers Henry Jackson and Mike Whitaker had a positive end to their first season competing in Super One. Both drivers agree they have learned a lot and feel much more confident in their abilities for the future. The driver coaching days and test weekends proved a great help and formed a key part in 3DR’s success for the 2009 season and will be an integral part of the forthcoming championship campaigns.
